The licence you are buying
A personal, perpetual, non-exclusive licence to run Foveate on Macs you own or control. One purchase covers your own machines. It does not expire, and it includes updates through the 1.x series.
The command-line tool
The fov CLI is released separately under the MIT licence and is not covered by these terms. You may use, modify and redistribute it accordingly.
What you may not do
Resell or redistribute the app, share or publish licence keys, or attempt to defeat the licence check. Reverse engineering is permitted where the law grants it regardless of what a licence says.
Warranty
Foveate is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. It is a search tool: it reads your files and never modifies, moves or deletes them. Even so, it is not a backup, and you should keep one.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the amount you paid. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.
Changes
If these terms change, the version you bought under continues to apply to your purchase.
